As a benefit of membership, MSS members receive several publications:
is one of the leading generalist journals in sociology. TSQ is a quarterly, edited by Brian Donovan and Bill Staples, both of the University of Kansas.
includes three mailings:
A twice-yearly newsletter sent in October and May; and an annual meeting registration packet sent in January. The newsletters contain listings of conferences, calls for papers, reports on the work of MSS committees, and news about departments and sociologists in the region. Michael Haedicke of Drake University is Executive Editor.
is a brief update delivered electronically to MSS members 8-10 times a year. E-news notifies members of member elections, board meetings, committee meetings, and deadlines for grant applications and award nominations. E-news also brings important reminders and timelines for those participating in the annual meeting.
An annual meeting program book
is distributed to all who attend the MSS annual meeting. The program book lists all meeting sessions and papers, along with the names of all the meeting participants. To view program books from past meetings beginning in 2006,
